New To Orienteering? If you've found this page then you probably already know (or suspect) that orienteering is a fun and challenging outdoor adventure sport for all ages and abilities. The aim of orienteering is to use a map to navigate as quickly as possible between a number of controls (checkpoints). If you're not completely sure what it's about, here's a short clip from British Orienteering to set the scene:
