Hooray Its December, the pictures here show me racing in the snow, a delight. Its been a quiet weekend event wise so this post is a pre-Christmas message to all you runners out there. Wessex Orienteers know how to live- so whether we are mulling the wine or running the trails we enjoy it. Theres exactly 10 days left until the shortest day of the year- so that means that afterwards its all towards Spring. Now theres a saying in cycling, “winter miles, summer smiles” and its true- if you take care of the winter training theres no need to hit March feeling limp, if you make the effort feeling good comes all year round. So- my buddies in the club who come out week in week out are my inspiration, we train and we go for a drink afterwards, because if you keep the fitness going, the navigation at speed becomes easier with the brain having room to make the decisions. Tonight is Medium Hill reps, then next week the 18th is the 1 KM reps, shown below, also 18th is going to be a meal at the Harvester at Sainsburys roundabout, near to the Wallisdown campus- you are welcome to come along, all abilities so you will never feel left out regardless of your current fitness.

This is an example of the 1KM reps tuesday training sessions that we do with WSX.

We have Thursday Romsey Night league Event 8 this week, then Winchester the following week before Xmas.
